Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has introduced Balvatika as a preschool education.At first KVS (HQ) identified 50 prominent KVs for the introduction of Balvatika and in the next year 450 KVs were identified for opening on Balvatika 1,2 and 3

In view of the NEP 2020 pre-schooling is mandatory for the age group of 3 to 5 years of child.

In Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Raipur BALVATIKA-3 has been started from 2023-24 with 40 students and on-going with all new tech facilities and full enthusiasm. Age criteria for admission in Balvatika-3 is 5 years but less than 6 years of age.
